WHAT PROBLEMS HAVE THIS CAUSE MY FAMILY

1. Lose faces after buying an expensive car but most of the function seems to not work properly, go to garage almost every month, whenever we have to lower down the mirror, but we can't cause the mirror is broken
2. Lose confidence on Volvo Sweden, Customer Care, President and Vice President of Volvo, Volvo Car Thailand Ltd. , on the safety of Volvo car produced by local companies of Volvo, on the material that is used in producing Volvo cars in Asian and ASEAN countries etc.
3. Lose health: my dad has to be admit to hospital 2 times because of this Volvo S80 case due to stress and unable to get what he spend on for the car....and receive such as bad explanation from Vice president of Volvo in Thailand (especially Mr. Mats Olsen) , he often become stress!
4. Lose money: there is no need to explain this reason because the story told it all
5. No transportation: every time the cars go to the garage ... my family have to go on Taxi, walk, Bus or skytrain ... I don't see the point of buying a car if it has to go to the garage every month!... and each time its no less then 1 or 2 weeks ....
6. Lose trust on NEW MODEL launch in Thailand ... customer should wait for at least 6 months so that VOLVO can fix all the stupid problems first (they need some stupid people to buy their cars so that they can learn the mistake that they have done during the design period, assembling period etc.)
7. Lose trust on the Sales Person ... cause he didn't even come to take care of my family after he sold the car.... GET THE MONEY AND THEN GO AWAY
8. Lose TRUST OF VOLVO CAR THAILAND and the Sweden President and Vice President cause they never realized this issue and they think that their own PROFIT is more important and other people is their last priority
9. Gain more CONFIDENCE on TOYOTA cars ... no problems at all never have to go to the garage to fix anything ... ! and its 1/3 the price of Volvo.... the material and the quality of Toyota parts is much better than Volvo ... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10. Lose confidence (already lose) of the Thai Government and the consumer rights... because my family didn't receive any help from the Government even if we asked for.... Thai government want to become Detroit of ASIA but they can not protect the consumer rights ... their cars aren't even Euro 4 ..........when other countries in Asia have very good consumer right and ofcourse .... EURO 4 ... so how can Thai government think of becoming Detroit of Asia ???
11. Lose confidence on the knowledge of Mr. Mats Olsen and his staff, I think that he should learn more from the Thai staff Mr. Chavalit ... of how to take care of Customer (what to say and what NOT to say) and after all that he said he shouldn't become the Vice president of Customer service........
12 Lose confidence on VOLVO CAR IN THAILAND .... and also VOLVO SWEDEN therefore for everyone that I know ... I will never recommend VOLVO to them ! because to me "VOLVO WILL ALWAYS SUCK FOR LIFE"

SOME LIST OF THE PROBLEMS

1. Electric Mirror doesn't Work ... problem last for 1 and half year
2. Front wheel suspension there is some weird sound ... problem last for almost 3 years finally they solved the problem at Hulmark garage
3. Engine loosing power: this happen many times and the cars have to be taken to the garage problem last for 1 and half year
4. Doors sometimes can open and sometimes can't ... the lock doesn't work and there is crack on all 4 sides
5. Ceiling (the interior of ther car) falls down on the driver side, Volvo Car Thailand said that this car is made for European environment not for Thai environment... so this problem is normal ... WHAT DA ... if Volvo wants to sell car in Thailand then they should make their cars for the ASEAN environment ... are they STU-ID or something ??? ....This is a word of carelessness from VOLVO CAR THAILAND!
6. Radio/stero dash board button MELT ... Volvo car Thailand Ltd people (Thai staff) admitted that its a wrong part and should not have been put in this Volvo S80 and don't know from where they put this from??
7. Dash board, the letters even faid away
8. Crack on the gears ... (Volvo Thai staffMr. Chavalit found the problem themself and change the new one for my family)
9. Car ballance isn't good and its eating away one side of the TIRES more then the other after 7 to 8 months of used, Volvo thailand change for us
10. Battery, after using this Volvo S80 for 4 years, my family have to change the car battery 4 times...(normally battery for car is for at least 2 to 4 years)
11. After 2 months of used turning light pops out (both left and right sides)...
12. After 3 months of used front bumper falls drop... can you imagine what accident it can CAUSE to my family if we were driving at a high speed?
13. Crack on the VIN number ... screw is miss align with the hole. Mr. Mats Olsen (vice president of customer service) from Volvo Thailand said that the problem is normal ... after using it will crack... my thinking and Mr. Chavalit said that this problem isn't normal and if my dad wants he can change it for my dad
14. Mr. Mats Olsen from Volvo Car Thailand compare my car with a 5 baht rubber... he said that "Car is like rubber, after using for a while it will be finished!" he said that after using there will be more crack!... the TRUTH is that VOLVO is 3 million baht and rubber is 5 baht !
15. Lambda Sond for a period of 3 years my Volvo car have changed 2 times already
16. When my family try to contact Mr. Robert the president ... his secretary said that he isn't free..........he is never FREE ... (may be always playing GOLF)

NOW COMES THE PROBLEMS (Letter to Global Customer Relations Adviser "Mr. Elin Ask"

This is my letter to Global Customer Relations adviser:

I haven't not written you about a year but I have not forgotten you. I waisted my money by buying this volvo S80. Actually it is a beautiful car. In 1,000 cars if one car is made fault and if you have looked after that customer well you would have saved this customer for whole LIFE. But your people in VOLVO HERE IN THAILAND did the other WAY.

Every time i see a volvo in case i can talk with owner first thing i will ask how is your car? how often it goes to garrage? never comes across anything like my volvo.

In first 3 year gurantee period my volvo went for repair at least much more than 100 times can you try to imagine what you will do if this has happened with your car.

For your information I am doing tailoring business and my business is 100% recommendation. I have never done any advertisement. Suppose you had made a suit with me and it don't fit well after 10 adjustment or 10 visits to my shop what you would have done ???

NOW WHAT YOU DONE WITH ME ?!

You people from Volvo promised to look after me as a special case even after GUrantee period. As this was not a normal car (in the 1st place) In fact they should have taken this car back (Brand new car needing so much repair).

1st time after 3 years gurantee period like for Lamda Sond they asked for full payment. when i made huge cry they offered 30% discount than they went to 70% discount BUT I ask one thing what is the life of Lamda Sond in the first place? I haven't come across a single car (VOLVO) where one set of Lamda sond changed 2 and a half year and 2nd set about 3 and a half years WHY EVERY PART IN MY CAR is dying at such a young age. Please can you give me answer what should I do with this volvo. Even upto today problem is not finished it if going to garrage every 2-3 months with repairs which are not normal for 5-6 years old volvo not finished 100,000 km yet.


Some parts of this car upto today are like a new car probably these are the new volvo parts where as other are copy. Example 4-5 months ago some problem with Air condition and they change a very simple metal like part on the part was written made in Japan now I don't remember the name of the part but you can check with Volvo Bangkok what was that part and what is the supposed life of that part. I showed to Swedish person, he mentioned that part should last as the life of a car or at least 15-20 years.

NEW PROBLEM something wrong with the water bottle connected to radiator. Water is leaking from some connection. Again I have never heard anything like happed to a high class car like Volvo. Infact with my Volvo the oil bottle which is a one piece leaked after 2 months of purchase so what we can't expect from this Volvo.

My second car is Toyota WISH (3 years old) it has never been to garrage even a single time. except for the oil change, it is about 45,000 km no repair at all and the price is almost 1/3 of volvo.

Your swedish peoples have never said SORRY in fact bullied me. They staff look like feel sorry but have no power.

I am never going to forget this case. It has given me such a mental stress my health is not like what it used to be before I brought this Volvo

I would like to request for a nice answer why all this trouble are coming with this Volvo and what will be the solution to it.

The word VOLVE FOR LIFE can not be used! INTRODUCTION !

I am writing on behalf of my family who have really suffer so much after purchasing a VOLVO S80 during the motor show in Bangkok Thailand ( at BITEC) sometimes during the year 2000. My intension is to just inform everyone who is going to purchase a VOLVO car in Thailand especially does who have high hope on VOLVO as being "VOLVO FOR LIFE"....because its NOT TRUE ... at least for my family and some of the people that i talk to and they have suffer the same thing or worst ! I have no intension of receiving anything back from Volvo Car Thailand Ltd. because for sure they have loose this CUSTOMER FOR LIFE therefore I do not wish to get anything from VOLVO AGAIN FOR LIFE!
